My day My day. Nothing special. A few hours of books, a whole lot of games as usual. I wonder why I am so calm. Tomorrow is my accounting paper. I have high hopes for myself, but I didn't put in my full effort. I don't have strength. The medicine is making me sleepy... *yawn*.
I guess my highlight for today is about my dog again. My parents just like to provoke her, don't know why. My dog doesn't like bathing. Does every dog behave like that? My mum goes," go go, bath!" Meimei goes," brrr brrr brr grrrrrr" and runs off under my bed to hide. Its hard to get her out. But one trick is to tell her that my dad is coming back from work. So we'll make lots of noise by knocking the door. Most of the time she'll get trick and runs out barking like a mad dog haha. Even after Meimei bathes, my mum would still bluff her and tell her to go and bath. I guess Meimei's mind will go," WHAt??? AGAIN!?"
Here is today's slice of life heee full text.
'Freedom is such a broad concept. Most people understand it as freedom from physical incarceration, the freedom to express your opinions freely, or the freedom to be yourself. But in this day and age, when such definitions of freedom are largely accepted as individual rights, it becomes imperative to examine the losses of freedom most people don't usually think about.
Like being held captive emotionally by an oppressive spouse. Or losing your freedom to people who would use your weaknesses to manipulate you. What about losing your peace of mind over people who offend you? Or the inability to accept the truth?
These are all very real enemies of freedom that usually hold us in their sway simply because we don't realise that we are being held captive by them.
An unknown author wrote…
If you are quick to take offense, then you'll be under the control of those who you find offensive.
If you are easily angered, then your actions will be dictated by those who anger you.
If you are obsessed by what other people think, then you will be imprisoned by their thoughts.
If you yearn for easy answers and quick solutions, you'll fall prey to people who offer you nothing but promises.
If you find the truth too difficult to bear, you'll be enslaved to those who tell you what you want to hear.
When you have the courage to think for yourself, the strength to accept what is, the commitment and discipline to make a difference, then you are free.
You are truly free to live with purpose, joy and fulfillment.
Let your life be defined, not by reactions to what others do, say, or think but rather your own unique vision.
Raise your eyes above the pettiness and follow the path of the greatness that is within you"
Well, its time to sleep again. I hope i'll have more interesting things to type. Wish me good luck for tomorrow's paper.
